Our Prediction 🔮
Despite essentially having a full game of Zach Wilson at quarterback in Week 1, we still don’t fully know how to evaluate this team with him under center. Even so, I do feel as if the Jets are being a bit overlooked and undervalued here.
Wilson is most definitely still a pretty huge question mark for this team, but the Jets have an extremely high-end tandem in their backfield with Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook, as well as one of the best defenses in the entire league.
I still am unsure of how to evaluate this team, but that 8.5-point spread just feels off to me. The Jets just beat the Bills, a team that was more highly regarded than Dallas coming into the year, on the back of their running game and defense. Yes, this game is on the road and yes the Cowboys were extremely impressive in their 40-0 victory over the Giants, but that doesn’t mean the Jets can’t compete here.
I’m not sure the Jets will win this afternoon, but I do think they’ll be far more competitive than Vegas and many other NFL pundits are expecting.
Cowboys 20, Jets 17.
